The Tatinator!!! |
LIVERMORE, CA - The 2009 Sub-bantam Championship was in full stride and the Tatinator from the LSI family was there to mix it up.
In her first appearance as a sub-bantam, tati would compete at the 100, 200 and 400 meter distances. With weeks of preparation and hours of hardwork the time had come to see if all would pay-off and with Coach Mama Raffin at the Helm ..... well anything is possible ...... and Cha-ching!!! was it ever!
First up was the 400 meter dash, exactly one lap around the track. But when you're 3 feet and some inches ... it could seems like a marathon. But it didn’t take much time for the fireworks to start. In her signature stride the tatinator would dash out to a monsterous pace to quickly make up the stagger on her competitionas she held comfortably through the back stretch. with only 120 meters to go and a commanding lead the tatinator would kick it into full stride but this time for bragging rights. Crossing the line to win her first ever Championship title she was all smiles as she turned around to cheer her 'would be' teammate ... Big Duce.
With momentum on her side, Tati would later compete in both the 100 and 200 meters where she would take 3rd and 4th place respectfully in a Personal Best. Looking to follow in the steps of her Big Sister "Giovanna Raffin" the tatinator has set her goals on a Junior Olympic Medal.
A taste of victory seem to give her a good indication of her love and committment for the sport. There seems to be a bright future for this Champ!
On behalf of LSI and Family, we would like to Congratulate Tati for an outstanding performance .. ruff)) ruff))!
