Fantastic Freshman - Cydney Leath of LSI and now a Cardinal at Mt Pleasant High School is leaping into stardom. As a freshman Cydney is leading the CCS Division in the Triple Jump with a personal best mark of 38'.01". A mark that is outstanding enough to make her the leading freshman in the State of California and placing her amongst the States top 10 overall. Potentially hard to shine amongst some of Mt Pleasant great acomplishments Cydney has found a way to keep the tradition going.

Hoping to follow in the foot steps of another standout Cardinal "Two Time State Champion Vashti Thomas" Cydney has her eyes on making it to the State Championship where she is surely a force to be reckoned with on the Triple Jump scene for at least the next three years to come.

To add to her accomplishments she is also ranked in the CCS at #14 in 100 meters (12.64), #11 in 100LH (15.78) and #2 4x100 (49.20). With a New School, New Team and New Challenges Cydney will try to Hop .. Skip .. and Jump her way to a 2009 CCS title.
