What was believed to be the final nail in the coffin came just moments into the 2nd lap when Nijae Jones took the baton for a 59 second split.
Faced with watching her team trail by 30 meters, Isabelle made her way around the track for the 3rd lap while it seem the 3M B Team was making their way to the 2006 Junior Olympic Championship. Isabelle ended her rally from behind with a 65 second splt and With only 1 lap to go in the race Alexandra Diaz recovered the baton .... and ensued a kick that would change the course of the race.
with just under 300 meters to go Alexandra steadied the pace drawing closer and closer. Teammates and spectators alike withdrew from there seats yelling and screaming as she quickly close the gap. With only 40 meters to go Alexandra took over the lead to put them ahead 5 meters and in 4 minutes 20 seconds one of the greatest comebacks in Pacific Association history ended just as soon as it began.
