Sixty Meters and Running!
San Jose, CA - Plenty of big marks dropped at The California "Run For The Dream indoor Invitational". There was plenty of talent lined up for the 60 meter Hurdles. Katie Nelms of LSI was among the field.
Qualifying 1st in her heat to advance to the finals Katie ran across the line in a time of 8.26. In the finals it would be a NorCal sweep with Trinity Wilson of EOYDC, Chalese Davis of Hercules and Katie Nelms of LSI.
As a sophmore last season at the CCS Finals, Katie took second in the 100M and 3rd in the 100H to Vasthi Thomas "Two Time California State Champion" of Mt Pleasant for a very successful season.
Katie appears to be the one to watch this season as she enters the CCS top ranked in the Girls 100M, 200M, 100h and 300H, with legal times of 12.02, 24.47, 14.3 and 42.06 respectfully.
