PALO ALTO, CA - The Oak Grove Rams roared back from its stunning loss against Oak Grove Rebels 33-0 and defeated Gilroy Browns for the second time this season 19-0.
Leading the Rams 346-yard offensive avalanche was Zachary "Pretty-Boy" Claunch. Accepting the starting position Pretty-Boy showed true poise. Pretty-Boy took to the field and immediately led the Rams on a strong opening drive. Taking advantage of blown coverage by the Browns secondary, pretty boy connected on a pass of 34 yards to a wide-open Ruby in the right flat which setup a pitch and sweep to Hill for a speedy 70-yard touch down.
"This is exactly what we needed to do," RAMS coach Byron Canada said. "This was exactly the game we were looking for to bounce back and get back on track."
Hill ran for 238 yards, scoring all three of the Rams touch downs. But What's probably more impressive is that they came on offense, defense and special teams. Hill who moved from linebacker into the safety role during the week wrapped up the scoring with 2:04 remaining with a interception registering 80-yards down field for a easy score.
"We had the opportunity to sit back and watch the defense and special teams take charge. I guess they answered the wake-up call after the Rebels," said Coach Canada.
Next Week the Rams will face Gilroy again. This will be the 3rd meeting between these two team since the season began. Gilroy will be given another opportunity to prove itself against a worthy foe .... Go Rams!
