LSI Track Star Tyson Hill rushes for 220 yards, 3 Touch Downs
San Jose, CA - [Pop Warner] - Oak Grove Rams Starting Running Back Tyson Hill ran for a Team record 220 yards and 3 touch down on only 3 carries. Coached By LSI's own Byron Canada, the Rams defeated the Gilroy Browns 20-0 in their season opener.
"It's definitely a confidence booster for the kids. "Canada said". Considering Three fourths (3/4) of our team have never suited up in a football uniform. So we look for veterans players like tyson to give us a little momentum in our favor. He's confident in his ability to put it in the end-zone. something every running back must have"
The Game was moved from 1:00pm to a 5:00pm for a late Sunday kick off. But the Rams caught plenty of fans attention who stayed around for the excitement.
Next up for Coach Canada and the Rams is another Sunday competition against Oak Grove South and their first road game of the season, September 20 at Oak Grove High School. With a second week Bye, the Rams go up 2-0, where they look to stay undefeated.
