Off to a "FAST" start
SAN JOSE - Since finishing their season at the U.S.A.T.F. Junior Olympic last July, LSI have been hard at work to recover and prepare for the 2008 Track Season. The team is approaching the Phoenix Invitational April. 5 in Arizona with clear motives in mind. With the outdoor prep season off to a fast start LSI attended the CAL Berkeley All Comers Meet In their first competition since July, 2007.

"They want to compete! They haven't race since the Junior Olympics and the fact that we've been able to manage better than expected training, gives them reason to be excited about their development and the upcoming season.

They did well at the All Comers and I think the fact that we've been able to maintain a base level of conditioning has helped.

I for one am pleased with some things we've been able to accomplish in the off season. We've made a few technical advances to break the mold on training and the athletes are responding very well. Its important to offer them a different stimulant from season to season as oppose to getting caught up in a routine. We've changed our training model to be more event specific which allows us to individualize and create more useful regimens. Its paying attention to the details that has benefited us the most.

Our objectives are in a much bigger picture. Its not about winning, its about development."

The outdoor prep season continues thru February with Cal and Los Gatos All Comers before the competition season opens in Phoenix, Arizona April 5, 2008.

Fans at last year's competition got spoiled with Great performances from athletes across the country. LSI will be in attendance along with 3M, Hilltop Speed, Roseville Express, LA Jets, Quiet Fire, Colorado Flyers, Seattle Speed, Texas Shooting Stars and many, many, more ...

We are LSI, a Culture, a Movement and Learning Speed Intelligently is our motivation.
