Why I like Running for LSI: By Gianna Hatchett
I like being on LSI Track Club because when I first started running I felt slow and out of shape . When I first started 2 years ago I ran 15.9. The next year I was running 13.7. Coach Al called me one day to say if I train hard and do my best I could run 12.9-12.7.

I came to LSI to get better and prove that I can be the best. On the first day I could feel a difference in my legs. Practice was intense, we did 200m bear crawls for not paying attention. We also did weight lifting. I was so sore after that but I could tell this was the training I needed to reach my goals. After the first week I felt like could whoop anyone that ever doubted me. Coach AL is always telling us to strive for our best. When we don't bring our A game , he gives us a couple of tries before he brings out the punishment.

Coach Al always makes time to have a one-on-one. The previous teams I've been on didn't even have time to teach us proper drills. Many of people have told me I look faster and more like a runner. Now that I am on LSI I have learned more about the basics and technical things in track. Before I started running with Coach Al other coaches would tell me just run. Coach Al tells me when and where and when to run a certain way.

LSI is like a family and I was lucky enough to be welcomed into it. I am proud to say that I run on LSI

We are LSI, a Culture, a Movement and Learning Speed Intelligently is our motivation.
